Dr Dilip Nazareth is an experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine specialising in asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, chronic cough, respiratory infections, and complex lung disease. He provides expert assessment and personalised treatment plans for adults with breathing and lung‑related concerns.
His NHS practice is based at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, one of the UK’s leading cardiothoracic centres. He works within a specialist multidisciplinary team and has advanced expertise in respiratory diagnostics, lung function testing, and the management of long‑term respiratory conditions.
Dr Nazareth completed specialist training in Merseyside followed by a two‑year Clinical and Research Fellowship in Cystic Fibrosis, leading to the award of an MD from the University of Liverpool. He has published extensively and holds an Honorary Clinical Associate Professorship at the University of Liverpool, alongside several national roles in research, education, and clinical governance.

Training & Qualifications
Dr Sofos holds the prestigious FRCS (Plast) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He completed advanced fellowships in Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Palsy at the internationally renowned St Andrew’s Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, as well as a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship with the North West Deanery.
He also holds a BSc in Biosciences from the University of Swansea and a BA in Classical History from the University of California, Davis, where he was awarded the Grimm–Evans Scholarship.
Dr Sofos has published widely in peer-reviewed medical journals and remains actively involved in surgical research and innovation.
