About Me
I was born on the small Greek island of Alonnissos, a place that shaped my values of community, care and responsibility. I trained in medicine in Europe and qualified as a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery in 2000, before returning to Greece to pursue specialist surgical training.
From early on, my focus was on delivering precise, thoughtful care for complex conditions, an approach that continues to guide my work today.

Discovering My Passion for Spinal Surgery
I completed my specialist training in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in Athens, where I developed a strong interest in spinal surgery. To further refine my expertise, I undertook advanced subspecialty training in the United States, including AO Spine–accredited clinical and research fellowships, focusing on complex spinal pathology and adult spinal deformity.

This international training shaped a practice grounded in safety, evidence-based decision-making and long-term patient outcomes.

Becoming a Consultant Spinal Surgeon
I have now worked in Liverpool for over a decade, during which time I have treated patients with the full spectrum of spinal conditions. I currently practise as a Consultant Spinal Surgeon and serve as Lead Adult Deformity Spinal Surgeon at The Walton Centre, one of the UK’s leading specialist hospitals.

Alongside my clinical work, I remain actively involved in service development, research and education, ensuring that patient care reflects the highest contemporary standards.

The Vision Behind
Genesis Clinic
Genesis Clinic was founded to bring trusted, consultant-led medical and aesthetic care to the centre of Liverpool. Located on Rodney Street, a historic medical quarter, the clinic reflects a commitment to quality, discretion and robust clinical governance.

Our aim is to provide patients with clear advice, honest recommendations and timely access to experienced consultants in a calm and supportive environment.
Whether seeking medical assessment or aesthetic treatment, patients are cared for by clinicians who prioritise safety, integrity and individualised care.

A Personal Commitment
to Liverpool
Moving to Liverpool has brought both professional fulfilment and personal happiness. It is a city with a rich culture, strong identity and a genuine sense of community.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy the city’s sporting culture and regularly visit Anfield to watch Liverpool FC, while remaining loyal to AEK Athens FC. Since settling here, my family and I have been made to feel truly welcome and valued.

Through my NHS work and through Genesis Clinic, my commitment is to contribute meaningfully to the future of healthcare in Merseyside, providing first-class, patient-centred care for a first-class city.
