About

Mr Jag Naik is an esteemed Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Spire Liverpool Hospital, recognised for his exceptional contributions to the field of vascular and endovascular surgery. He completed his medical degree at the University of Glasgow in 1993, followed by his training in general surgery and vascular surgery. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1997 and later pursued a doctorate at the University of Leicester, exploring the impact of statins on venous cell growth, which he completed in 2001.

Further refining his skills, Mr Naik spent significant time at the renowned Royal Adelaide Hospital. Here, he honed his expertise in endovascular techniques and aesthetic vein interventions, benefiting from the hospital's renowned legacy in leg bypass surgery and its association with the Miller Cuff operation.

In 2010, Mr Naik assumed the role of Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Liverpool Royal Infirmary. He emerged as a leader in the field, heading the carotid surgery program and establishing the sole regular NHS varicose veins list in the city. His scope of expertise extended to complex leg reconstructions, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, and surgery for vascularised cancers within a multidisciplinary specialist team.

Mr Naik's contributions extended beyond the clinical realm. He published extensively on various aspects of vascular surgery, including the application of endovascular grafts for aneurysmal disease and the effects of drugs on vein cell growth. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in educating medical students about vascular disease at the Royal Infirmary.
