Will I be seen by a consultant?

Yes. All spinal assessments at Genesis Clinic are consultant-led. You will be assessed and advised directly by an experienced Orthopaedeic Spinal consultant.

What happens during my first spine consultation?

Your consultation will include a detailed discussion of your symptoms, a clinical examination, and a review of any scans you may already have. If further investigations are needed, these will be arranged and discussed with you.

Do I need an MRI scan before my appointment?

Not always. If you already have recent imaging, we will review it. If an MRI or other scan is required, we can arrange this following your consultation.

Do you treat scoliosis in children and adults?

Yes. We provide specialist assessment and advice for scoliosis in children, adolescents, and adults, including monitoring, non-surgical management, and surgical options where appropriate.

Are minimally invasive techniques available?

Where suitable, we use minimally invasive techniques to reduce tissue disruption and support recovery. The most appropriate approach will always be discussed with you in detail.

How quickly can I be seen?

We aim to offer timely appointments and investigations. Availability will depend on the nature of your condition and any imaging required.
